Medical director and child psychiatrist
Jeffrey Q. Bostic, MD, EdD, is assistant clinical
professor of psychiatry at Harvard
Medical School,
director of school psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and
medical director of the Massachusetts Child Psychiatry Access Project site at
MGH. Dr. Bostic completed his MD, and his doctorate in Education, at Texas Tech
in Lubbock,
Texas. He completed his psychiatry
residency at Timberlawn Mental Health Systems in
Dallas,
Texas, and his child psychiatry fellowship
at MGH/McLean. Dr. Bostic's research and clinical interests focus on mental
health in school settings and partnering with primary care providers to deliver
psychiatric care. Dr. Bostic graduated from the Massachusetts General
Hospital/McLean Child Psychiatry Training Program in 1996. He has conducted
trials and published articles regarding childhood depression, ADHD, autism, and
anxiety disorders.
Child psychiatrists
Lisa F. Price, MD,
is instructor in psychiatry at Harvard
Medical School,
assistant director of the School Psychiatry Program at
Massachusetts General Hospital,
and a staff psychiatrist for the Massachusetts Child Psychiatry Access Project.
Having earned her medical degree at the Yale University School of Medicine, Dr.
Price graduated from the Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Child Psychiatry
Training Program in 2004. She is an investigator in the MGH Transition to
Parenthood Program for couples conceiving through in vitro fertilization. In
addition to consulting to pediatricians, schools, and families, she maintains a
practice for adults, children, and adolescents. Dr. Price has received the
Presidential Scholar Award by the
American
Academy of Child and Adolescent
Psychiatry for her work on the MGH Transition to Parenthood Program.
Susan D. Swick, MD,
MPH, received her medical degree from the Columbia College of
Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Swick graduated from the Massachusetts General
Hospital/McLean Child Psychiatry Training Program in 2003 after complete
training in forensic psychiatry in 2001 at New York University. She has worked at the
MGH Cancer
Center doing parent guidance since 2003 as well as
practicing general adult, child and adolescent, and forensic psychiatry in the
community.
Program administrator
Bruce J. Masek,
PhD, ABPP, received his undergraduate degree from
Bradley University
and his PhD in clinical psychology from
Auburn University.
He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in behavioral medicine and pediatric
psychology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Dr. Masek is clinical director of outpatient child and adolescent
psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital,
associate professor of psychology (psychiatry) at
Harvard Medical
School, and program administrator
for the Massachusetts Child Psychiatry Access Project at MGH. He cofounded
the first pediatric behavioral medicine program in the country at Children's
Hospital, Boston, in 1980 and is recognized internationally as one
of the field's foremost experts.
Social worker
Leah M. Grant, MSW, LICSW, graduated from Boston
University School of Social Work. She has been doing mental health work
with families since 1984 in a variety of settings: community mental health,
therapeutic daycare for abused and neglected children, and onsite therapy at a
daycare and after school program.
CARE COORDINATOR
Lauren Hart, Care Coordinator received a bachelor's degree in health science from Northeastern University. She is the assistant to the Diversity Committee for the Massachusetts General Hospital Psychiatry Department. She also co-coordinated the Peer Health Exchange program at Northeastern and taught health workshops in the Boston public schools. She plans to continue her education in public health in order to pursue a career that targets populations with health disparities.
