Medical director and child psychiatrist

Jeffrey Q. Bostic

Jeffrey Q. Bostic, MD, EdD, is assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, director of school psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and medical director of the Massachusetts Child Psychiatry Access Project site at MGH.  Dr. Bostic completed his MD, and his doctorate in Education, at Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas.  He completed his psychiatry residency at Timberlawn Mental Health Systems in Dallas, Texas, and his child psychiatry fellowship at MGH/McLean.  Dr. Bostic's research and clinical interests focus on mental health in school settings and partnering with primary care providers to deliver psychiatric care.  Dr. Bostic graduated from the Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Child Psychiatry Training Program in 1996.  He has conducted trials and published articles regarding childhood depression, ADHD, autism, and anxiety disorders.

Child psychiatrist

Betty Wang, MD received her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University. She completed her residency in psychiatry at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Children's Hospital, Boston. In addition to her work at with the Massachusetts Child Psychiatry Access Project, she also is on staff at the MGH Outpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department and works closely with the MGH Vincent Obstetrics and Gynecology Service to treat women with mood and anxiety disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period.

Program administrator

BruceJMasekBruce J. Masek, PhD, ABPP, received his undergraduate degree from Bradley University and his PhD in clinical psychology from Auburn University.  He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in behavioral medicine and pediatric psychology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.  Dr. Masek is clinical director of outpatient child and adolescent psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital, associate professor of psychology (psychiatry) at Harvard Medical School, and program administrator for the Massachusetts Child Psychiatry Access Project at MGH.  He cofounded the first pediatric behavioral medicine program in the country at Children's Hospital, Boston, in 1980 and is recognized internationally as one of the field's foremost experts. 

Social worker

Leah M Grant Leah M. Grant, MSW, LICSW, graduated from Boston University School of Social Work.  She has been doing mental health work with families since 1984 in a variety of settings: community mental health, therapeutic daycare for abused and neglected children, and onsite therapy at a daycare and after school program.

CARE COORDINATOR

Lauren Hart Lauren Hart, Care Coordinator received a bachelor's degree in health science from Northeastern University. She co-coordinated the Peer Health Exchange program at Northeastern and taught health workshops in the Boston public schools. In addition to working at MCPAP she is enrolled in the MPH program at Northeastern University and plans to pursue a career that targets populations with health disparities.
