MCPAP Staff
Medical director and child psychiatrist
Jefferson Prince,
MD, is an instructor in psychiatry at
Harvard Medical
School in Boston,
the director of child psychiatry for the North
Shore Medical
Center in Salem, and
the medical director for the Northeast regional MCPAP at the North Shore
Medical Center.
Dr. Prince is involved in research into the characterization and treatment of
ADHD across the lifespan, as well as pediatric mood, anxiety, and substance
disorders. Dr. Prince serves as a member of the Board of the Children’s Trust
Fund. He earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in
Atlanta, Georgia, and completed his residencies in psychiatry and
acute psychiatry service at
Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Prince completed his clinical fellowship in child psychiatry at MGH and
McLean hospitals in Boston and
Belmont, respectively. Dr Prince is board-certified in
general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr Prince is also the
recipient of many awards and honors, including the distinction of Laughlin
Fellow for the American College
of Psychiatrists. In 2005, Dr. Prince was selected as one of the ‘Best Doctors
in America.’ He is the author or co-author of more
than 60 original articles, abstracts, and book chapters, and he has made more
than 150 academic presentations nationally and internationally.
Child psychiatrists
Michele Reardon, MD, received her medical degree from
Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. Dr. Reardon completed her
residency in pediatrics/psychiatry and child psychiatry at Brown University.
Triple board-certified, she previously worked as the training director at the
adolescent unit at Carney
Hospital in Dorchester
for three years. Dr. Reardon is the medical director for the Partial Hospital
Program at NSMC and is a child psychiatrist on call for MCPAP.
Lisa D’Silva, MD, received her medical degree from the
American
University of the Caribbean School of
Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Connecticut School of
Medicine. Board-certified in psychiatry, she completed her fellowship at
Tufts-New England
Medical Center.
She is fluent in Portuguese and can speak Spanish as well. Her interests
include both adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry.
Administrator
Joseph F. Dipietro,
PsyD, is the director of outpatient mental health at North Shore
Medical Center
and is the administrator for the Northeast regional MCPAP. Dr. Dipietro
completed a postdoctoral fellowship at McLean
Hospital in Belmont
and was the former director of Hallmark Health.
Social workers
Lisbeth Costa, MSW,
LICSW, received her master’s in social work from Salem State
College. In addition to her position of clinical social worker for MCPAP, she
works for North Shore Children’s Hospital in their outpatient Mental Health
Department and has a private practice in Salem.
Patricia Gardner-Goodof, MSW, LICSW, is the clinical coordinator for the
Outpatient Behavioral Health Department at North Shore Children’s Hospital
(NSCH) and is a clinical social worker for the Northeast
MCPAP. She also maintains a private practice in
Marblehead. She is intensively
trained in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and teaches DBT skills groups to
adolescents and adults. She also provides individual therapy using this
model. She frequently gives lectures on DBT at conferences. Patty is on the
board of directors for New England Academy
in Beverly. She
has more than a decade of clinical and administrative experience working with
children, adolescents, and adults who experience anxiety, mood disorders,
attention disorders, personality disorders, grief/loss issues, and family
systems conflict. She is a member of the National Association of Social
Workers.
Care coordinator
Catherine Walsh , our care coordinator for the Northeast regional MCPAP hub, holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in psychology, both from Salem State College. She has had experience implementing goals and treatment plans using CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Catherine also works part time as a counselor for the North Shore Medical Center’s outpatient mental health clinic in Salem and has a special interest in teaching and caring for children. Before pursuing her degrees in psychology, Catherine had several years of teaching experience working with infants up through adolescents.
