Program Overview

The goal of MCPAP is to improve access to treatment for children with behavioral health needs and their families by making child psychiatry services accessible to primary care providers across Massachusetts.

MCPAP provides quick access to psychiatric consultation and facilitates referrals for accessing ongoing behavioral health care. We encourage and support PCPs integrating behavioral health resources into their practices and work with behavioral health providers as well as primary care providers. MCPAP is available for all children and families, through their primary care providers, regardless of insurance. MCPAP is free to all PCPs. If you are not yet enrolled in MCPAP we encourage you to contact one of our teams or click the Enroll button on this website.

Clinical Conversations: Join us on the 4th Tuesday of each month from 12:15-1:15 p.m. for a conversation with a MCPAP Psychiatrist or subject matter expert on a variety of behavioral health topics, click here for recordings of recent webinars.

New at MCPAP!

MCPAP is pleased to announce that MCPAP for ASD-ID has expanded its services to provide PCCs quick access to Licensed Applied Behavioral Analysts for youth and young adults with autism or intellectual disabilities (ASD-ID) who are experiencing escalating behavioral health symptoms.

PCCs and Integrated Behavior Health Clinicians can contact a MCPAP consultant and discuss having an ABA consultation. Call your usual MCPAP team and you will be connected with a MCPAP consultant.

We are excited to partner with pediatric PCCs to increase access to appropriate behavioral interventions for a youth with an existing diagnosis of ASD-ID.
