Dr. Walter is Associate Medical Director for Behavioral Health, Pediatric Physicians’ Organization at Children’s, and Medical Co-Director for the MCPAP Boston South Regional Team. She also is Senior Attending Psychiatrist at Boston Children’s Hospital, where she leads initiatives in pediatric integrated behavioral health care, and Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Walter previously was Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at Boston University School of Medicine. She trained in preventive medicine at UCLA Medical Center, in general psychiatry at New York University/Bellevue Hospital Center, and in child and adolescent psychiatry at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center/New York State Psychiatric Institute. She also holds the Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology from the UCLA School of Public Health. For nearly two decades, Dr. Walter has served as Co-Chair of the Committee on Quality Issues for the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP), which under her leadership has published 29 guidelines for the clinical practice of child and adolescent psychiatry. Charles Moore, MD, received his medical degree from the University of Kansas Medical School. He completed Triple Board combined residency and fellowship in pediatrics, adult psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry at Tufts Medical Center (2000). He worked as Medical Director of BEST (2000-2003) and assisted in establishing Tufts-Floating Med-Psych Inpatient Unit (2000-2009). Began work with MCPAP in 2005 as Medical Director of MCPAP Boston Tufts-Children’s Team. While at Tufts extended medical education commitment as Associate Child Psychiatry Residency Training Director. In 2009 became medical director of the McLean-Southeast Region MCPAP and Mclean Southeast Adolescent Services.

Amanda Carveiro has been working with MCPAP as a care coordinator and resource and referral specialist for the last 10 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in health care management and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Child and Adolescent development. She initially was trained as a medical administrative assistant and came to us with a wide variety of customer service experience. Amanda has also had many years of experience working in direct care for persons with cognitive disabilities, and has a special interest in helping those with behavioral health issues.
Melissa O’Sullivan received a B.A. in Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. In addition to her role as a Program Coordinator for MCPAP, Melissa works at Boston Children’s Hospital for both the Outpatient Psychiatry and Social Work Departments. She has extensive experience in customer service, supporting clinicians, and helping families navigate the mental health world.
Mark is a social worker (LICSW) who has worked in variety of settings including hospital units, emergency departments, schools, cognitive rehab centers, behavioral health insurance review, clinical out-patient, DMH, DCF and OCD residential programs. I have twin teenage sons and live in southeastern Massachusetts.
Tracy Mullare, MD, received her medical degree from Albany Medical College. Dr. Mullare completed her residency at the Brown Triple Board Program in pediatrics, psychiatry, and child psychiatry. She is an instructor in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. She is the assistant medical director of McLean-Southeast Adolescent Services.
Peter Adams, MD, received his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Adams completed his residency at the VA Boston Healthcare System in the Harvard South Shore Psychiatry Residency Training Program. He completed his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital program. He is an instructor in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He is a staff psychiatrist at the McLean Southeast MCPAP and McLean Southeast Adolescent ART.

Sandra Lucio, DO received her medical degree from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed General Psychiatry residency at Baylor Scott White Hospital in Texas and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. She is board certified in Adult Psychiatry, and Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. In addition to working with MCPAP as staff psychiatrist, she works at Tufts Medical Center as a Child & Adolescent psychiatrist seeing outpatients, supervising the Child Psychiatry Consult Liaison Service, and running the Mood & Anxiety Disorders Clinic at Tufts Children’s Hospital.
Dee Shaligram, MD, received her medical degree from Stanley Medical College, India. She completed her child & adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Cambridge Health Alliance. She is a board certified child and adult psychiatrist and an instructor in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. She also serves as staff psychiatrist in the Outpatient Psychiatric Services at Boston Children’s Hospital. She has an interest in severe mental illness, mood and anxiety disorders, psychiatric issues secondary to medical illness and healthcare disparities.
Dr Bukstein is currently Vice-Chair and Associate Psychiatrist-in-Chief for Academic Affairs in the Department of Psychiatry at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH). He is also Director of the Outpatient Psychiatry Service (OPS) at BCH. He was previously Training Director for the BCH Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Prior to coming to Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) in March 2016, Dr Bukstein spent several years in Houston, Texas at the University of Texas (UT) Health Science Center in Houston where he was Professor of Psychiatry and Chief of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and at DePelchin Children’s Center where he was Medical Director. He spent 28 years at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic (WPIC) and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where achieved the rank of Professor of Psychiatry. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and has a master’s degree in public health from the UT- Houston. He is board certified in psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry and previously in addiction psychiatry. Dr Bukstein has over 30 years of practice experience with particular clinical and research expertise in treating youth with substance use disorders, and other disruptive behavior disorders. Dr Bukstein has a substantial academic record, having authored or co-authored over 150 papers, chapters, or books and has received funding by the National Institute of Mental Health, the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, and the National Institute on Child Health and Human Development. He is presently co-chair of the Committee on Quality Issues, the component of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry that develops clinical practice guidelines for professionals treating children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders.
Daniel Dickstein, MD, FAAP, received his medical degree from Brown University School of Medicine, where he then completed a combined pediatrics, adult psychiatry, and child psychiatry residency. Board-certified in all three fields, he is a Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and is Director of Child/Adolescent Psychiatry Research at McLean Hospital. Dr. Dickstein is also Director of the Pediatric Mood, Imaging, & NeuroDevelopment (PediMIND) Program, where his clinical/research interests include suicide, non-suicidal self-injury, mood, and ADHD/behavioral disorders.
Yajie Yu MD received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He completed his adult psychiatry training at the Harvard South Shore residency program, and his child/adolescent fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. Currently, he is an instructor in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He is a staff psychiatrist at the McLean Southeast Adolescent ART. Yajie’s academic interests are in ADHD and PIMU (problematic interactive media usage).
